Sharrif Karnell Floyd was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Sharrif played at George Washington High School where he garnered All-League, All- City, All State, and All-American honors. Sharrif was selected to play in the 2010 Army All-American Bowl where he committed to the University of Florida and Coach Urban Meyer on national television. Sharrif's High School career ended with him being ranked the number four High School player in the nation. Sharrif went on to play three seasons at the University of Florida before declaring for the 2013 NFL Draft, after an All-American junior campaign. Sharrif was selected #23 overall by the Minnesota Vikings in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He now resides in Minnesota, where he looks to continue his young and prosperous NFL career while impacting the community around him.
